Cancellation conditions and charges

If the customer is obliged to cancel the trip, he/she must inform the Local Agency and its insurer by any written means allowing for acknowledgement of receipt, as soon as the event giving rise to the cancellation occurs. The date of issue of the written notice will be taken as the date of cancellation for the purpose of invoicing cancellation charges. As a general rule, the insurance company will assess the date of the event that gave rise to the decision to cancel the trip, based on the documents provided directly by the customer, before agreeing to reimburse the cancellation costs.

Scale of charges for total cancellation:

More than 30 days before departure: free cancellation

  • 15 to 29 days before departure: 30% of the total price of the trip
  • 14 to 7 days before departure: 50% of the total price of the trip
  • Less than 6 days before departure: 100% of the total price of the trip
  • On the day of departure (or in the event of a no-show): 100% of the total price of the trip.

Fee schedule for partial cancellations, except in special cases :

If a traveler registered for a privatized trip cancels his/her participation, while the trip is maintained for the other participants:

  • For personal (non-shared) services, the above cancellation fee schedule will be applied to the traveler who cancels.
  • For shared services, a fee equal to 100%, regardless of the date of cancellation, will be charged to the participant who cancels on his or her share of the trip’s shared services. If several customers have registered for the same trip and one of them cancels, cancellation fees will be deducted from the sums collected for this trip, regardless of who made the payment. In the event of cancellation, for any reason whatsoever, the customer will not be reimbursed for any expenses incurred outside the scope of the trip booked with the Local Agency, such as transport to the place of departure and return home (plane, train, or bus tickets), the cost of obtaining visas, travel documents, or vaccinations.

Assignment of contract

In the event of transfer of the contract, the Customer must inform the Local Agency by email at least 7 days before departure. This transfer is possible, subject to the availability of air transport and the appropriate level of the transferee. It may entail additional costs (particularly in the case of changes to airline tickets and nominative services), which will be invoiced to the designated assignee. In all cases, the assignor and assignee are jointly and severally liable for payment of the travel price and any
additional costs.
