Discovering Bushmen and the Okavango Delta
Day 1: Windhoek (transfert : 40 Km sur route – 45 min)
Arrival in the capital and transfer to your accommodation at the Safari Hotel, pension with breakfast only.
Day 2. Ghanzi
Departure from the capital and crossing the border to Botswana to meet the bushmen of the Kalahari desert; camping at trailblazer, full board.
Day 3. Maun
After breakfast, walk with the bushmen to discover their traditional way of life. Then, drive to Maun, the tourist capital of the country. Possibility to undertake optional activities (example: flight over the Okavango Delta).
Day 4-5. Okavango Delta – Moremi National Park
Morning and afternoon photo safari and discovery of the Okavango Delta. Overnight in a canvas room in Moremi Park or in the vicinity of Nkwai village.
Day 6-7. Kavango River – Ngepi camp
We cross the border back into Namibia to discover the Kavango region and the Caprivi Strip. Photo safari in Mahango National Park in the morning and mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) on the fleuve Kavango in the afternoon in search of crocodiles, hippos and many birds.
We will camp on the banks of the fleuve Kavango.
Day 8. Caprivi Band: Kwando River
Photo safari in Bwabwata Park, the largest wildlife park in this region and also part of the unfenced transboundary park between Namibia, Angola, Botswana and Zambia.
Day 9-10. Botswana – Chobe
Today we return to Botswana via another border and discover the Chobe River, with its beautiful Sidudu Island, a paradise for the animals and birds of this region. Photo safari at dawn in the Chobe Park, renowned for being the park with the highest concentration of elephants in Africa. Afternoon safari cruise on the Chobe River until sunset. Camp on the banks of the Chobe River, full board.
Day 11-12. Hwange National Park
Cross the border into Zimbabwe and discover its largest national wildlife park. Camp at Ivory camp or similar. Photo safari the next day early in the morning and in the afternoon. Bivouac, full board.
Day 13. Victoria Falls
We will discover Victoria Falls, one of the 7 natural wonders of the world and one of the most impressive waterfalls in the world. Guided tour of Victoria Falls and optional activities (e.g. helicopter flight over the falls).
Day 14. End and Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Victoria Falls airport for the return flight to France.
