AUTHENTIC NAMIBIA
Our 13 days Authentic Namibia tour is one of the classic tours of Namibia. It will give you an excellent overview of its beautiful landscapes, diverse cultures, prolific wildlife and a general knowledge of its politics, history and geography. This tour will allow you to discover three main aspects of this beautiful country: its landscapes, its wildlife and its people.
Day 1: Windhoek
You will be met by our local guide at the airport who will drive you to your hotel. After settling in at the Safari hotel (or equivalent) and free time according to your arrival time, we will meet in the evening for a briefing; dinner at leisure; night and breakfast included.
Day 2: CCF – Frans Indongo
Morning departure for the CCF (Cheetah Conservation Center). Visit of the foundation, explanation of its activities and presentation of these magnificent felines. Accommodation at Frans Indongo lodge (or equivalent), full board.
Days 3, 4 & 5 : Etosha National Park
You will have the opportunity to observe an abundance of wildlife. During these three days, you will enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives to better observe this unique wildlife. Accommodation at Namutoni (or equivalent) on day 3 and at Okaukuejo (or equivalent) on days 4 and 5, full board.
Day 6 : Kaokoland – Opuwo
You will travel to Kaokoland, one of the least populated regions of Namibia and considered the territory of the Himba people. You will also visit the administrative capital of Kaokoland, the dusty town of Opuwo. Accommodation in Opuwo country hotel (or equivalent), full board
Day 7: Sesfontein
Sesfontein (six fountains in Afrikaans), takes its name from the six fountains that have been discovered in this extremely arid region of Namibia. You will enjoy a sunset walk along the ephemeral Hoanib River near our lodge. Accommodation at Khowarib lodge or similar, full board.
Day 8: Damaraland – Twyfelfontein
While driving through this region, you will have the opportunity to observe mountain zebras, desert elephants and white rhinos. You will also visit the famous Twyfelfontein site with its 2,500 rock engravings, dating from 2000 to 6000 years ago. Accommodation at Twyfelfontein country lodge or similar, full board.
Day 9 & 10: Swakopumd
Destination the coastal town of Swakopmund. En route, you will have the opportunity to drive along the southern coastline called “the skeleton coast”.
The afternoon is free. On day 10, you will leave for a cruise to discover the marine fauna. The afternoon is free for other activities such as a 4×4 excursion in the dunes to the old small port of Sandwich Harbour. Accommodation in a guest room at the Avignon Hotel (or equivalent), board: only breakfast for these 2 days.
Day 11 & 12 : The Namib Desert
The day is spent among these red sand dunes. A short excursion into the Sesriem Canyon is planned as well as a climb to the top of Elim Dune. Accommodation at Namib Desert lodge or similar, full board.
Day 13 : Windhoek
Departure from the desert to Windhoek airport. You can also book an extra night in Windhoek if you don’t want to board until the next day (not included in the price and organization). Board and breakfast only.
